A Message for Participants: Keeping In Touch
We won't be inviting you for interview again for a little while, but we’d like to be able to keep in touch so that we can contact you when the time comes for the next round of interviews. You should have recently received an email from us asking you to update your contact details; please click on the link in the email to fill out a short contact details form. We really appreciate your continued participation in our study. PADS+ is an internationally-renowned ground-breaking research study that has focused on various features of a large group of adolescents as you have transitioned into adulthood and beyond. We first interviewed you in 2004 (when you were 13 years old) and 91% of you are still taking part! We continue to be interested in how experiences and opinions shape people’s development and behaviour, and hope that you will continue to be a part of this important study.
GDPR participant information:
To enable academic research in the public interest, PADS+ is exempt from GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation). This means we can store personal information, such as name and contact information, in order to be able to conduct our ongoing longitudinal research; i.e., contact you for interview, link data from multiple sources etc. However, all data collected by PADS+ is anonymised before analysis by PADS+ researchers or our collaborative academic partners; i.e., your personal identifiable data is removed and is not used for analysis and research purposes. Furthermore, publications and outputs based on this analysis report findings at the aggregate level (i.e. about groups of individuals)
In addition to these assurances, please be aware that we take the security of all PADS+ data, including your personal data, very seriously and we employ a number of measures to protect it.
